Where to start? My name is Laurin Jackson and I've been apart of Verve since 2009. My family was planning to move to Vegas when Vince spoke at my church in California. My mother was interested in Verve and decided to become a part of the launch team once we moved to Vegas. It was an amazing experience being apart of the team, planning the outcome of the Church.
Fast forward to March 2010 when the Verve finally opened. I wanted to volunteer as much as I could within the nursery or with preschool aged children; however it became difficult because my mother works Sundays and it was hard to get a ride. Eventually I received my license and now am able to give myself a ride.
Working in Preschool is the greatest experience ever. To me that is the perfect age because you can have conversations with the kids and see their development. I love watching the kids learn to share their toys and even color inside the lines. They are so easily entertained and everyday I leave feeling happier then when I came.
I recommend everyone to have a chance to volunteer in Preschool or even Kindergarten thru 5th grade or the Nursery. It's an amazing experience.
